21 Hoops is a youth basketball business dedicated to providing instruction and opportunity for advancement of basketball skills for grade levels kindergarten through twelfth grade.
21 Hoops was born in the spring of 2007 from the culmination of years of experience and a desire to bring something different to area basketball enthusiasts. First and foremost 21 Hoops is about teaching. We stress the fundamentals of basketball in an enjoyable and challenging venue.
In three short years our AAU program has gone from a team of High School Sophomores to a program with a team in SEVEN different age groups.
We are looking forward to offereing three to four different basketball camps in the summer of 2009.
Corey Gesford, is a PIAA Basketball official, and former Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Mt. View High School, Kingsley, Pa. where he helped guide the program to two Lackawanna League Division III titles and two apperances in the District II Class AA final.
Coach Gesford has over a decade's experience in conducting summer basketball camps and organizing AAU basketball teams. He has served on the camp staff at both the nationally respected Eastern Invitational and Pocono Invitational Basketball Camps, and many local camps and clinics in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Previously Coach Gesford was Girls Program Director at HoopCity USA and served as the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Bishop Hannan High School. He also served as a boys assistant at Bishop Hannan, Elk Lake, and Lackawanna Trail.
